Jon Nemo

Mr. Nemo heads the Aerospace, Defense & Government Services Group at Harris Williams & Co. Mr. Nemo has 17 years of investment banking experience and has completed over 75 merger and acquisition and corporate finance transactions during his career. Since joining the firm, Mr. Nemo has led and closed numerous transactions including, the sale of Tri-Star Electronics to Carlisle Companies, the sale of Schneller LLC to TransDigm Group Incorporated, the sale of Philadelphia Gear Corporation to The Timken Company, and the sale of Whitcraft LLC to Linsalata Capital Partners. In addition, Mr. Nemo was recently named one of the Top 40 Under 40 by Investment Dealers' Digest in 2011.

Prior to joining Harris Williams & Co., Mr. Nemo was a Managing Director in the Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking Group at Jefferies & Company (formerly Jefferies Quarterdeck). As one of the senior members of this group, Mr. Nemo was responsible for the origination and senior level execution of several M&A transactions and was responsible for building many of the Group’s most important corporate and private equity relationships. Prior to his work at Jefferies, Mr. Nemo spent 13 years at CIBC World Markets, most recently as a Managing Director in the Industrial Growth & Services Investment Banking Group, where he was responsible for building the firm’s Aerospace and Defense Group into one of the most successful middle market practices on Wall Street.

Mr. Nemo has extensive experience advising buyers and sellers in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors. He maintains strong relationships with key decision makers at the most active domestic and international strategic and financial buyers in the industry and has a deep understanding of their businesses and strategic priorities. This combination of sector knowledge, transaction experience and industry relationships has made Mr. Nemo one of the most active investment bankers in the sector.

Mr. Nemo graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife and four children.
